The Doctorate Program in Industrial Innovation co-founded by the University of Trento and the Bruno Kessler Foundation, has published the call for applications for the academic year 2020/21, which will be active for the presentation of online applications from June 10 to August 25, 2020 (4 pm, GMT +2).

This year, there are 16 positions including 11 scholarships and 5 positions reserved for employees of the partner companies. All the positions are matched with specific research projects to face the industrial challenges that vary from production process improvement to new product creation.
The financing companies come from different industrial sectors that range from food to automotive, and from software design to wastewater treatment. All the companies operate at international level and offer the market solutions of the highest technological and innovative value.
Companies are the key players of the Program since they participate in the supervision of the research projects and host the students for 6 to 36-months internships.
The Doctorate Program in Industrial Innovation is an interdisciplinary program that offers a wide range of courses by the Departments of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI), Industrial Engineering (DII), Economics and Management (DEM), Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (DICAM) and Physics (DIF) of the University of Trento, by the Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Hub Innovazione Trentino (HIT), and by European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT).
The ultimate goal of the Program is to train highly-qualified professionals with advanced scientific, technical and soft skills, and high abilities in innovation and entrepreneurship, that will contribute to the solution of challenges posed by the industry.
