Hub Innovation Trentino will cooperate with innovation centers in the regions of Oulu (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia).

The INNOCHALLENGE project, a “Coordination and Support Action” funded by the Horizon 2020 european innovation framework program was kicked off on May 15.

The objective of the INNOCHALLENGE project is to collect and share good practices of initiatives that allow SMEs to find solutions to industrial problems and product challenges thanks to the involvement of students, researchers and experts in industrial sectors and enabling technologies. Specifically, INNOCHALLENGE aims to map good practices of initiatives that operate according to the rules of the “challenge”  (contests rewarding the best solution in a competitive settin). Good practices will be collected in the concerned territories: the Oulu region (Ostrobothnia, Finland), and the Tallin region (Harju, Estonia).

The project will share good practices in three workshops, each of which organized in the involved  territories. This will allow to share insight with innovation agencies and other local stakeholders interested in activating Open Innovation initiatives. During the workshops, guidelines and suggestions will also be formulated to design and implement innovative Open Innovation initiatives. Finally, these will be included in a guide that will be made available by the project by May 2019.
