On April 26th every year, the World Intellectual Property Organization celebrates “World Intellectual Property Day”. A day to raise awareness of intellectual property rights and to promote their importance as essential tools for businesses.

In this occasion, the European project GO-DIP organizes an online meeting with IP lawyers, intellectual property officers, practitioners in open innovation, digital data business models and digital business frontrunners and innovators. The event will focus on how best to use digital data such as data, methodologies, the configuration of interconnected systems, processing algorithms in companies and how to best handle data sharing, data IP validation and innovation, how to design software data IP and data agreements as well as how to make added value from digital IP portfolio, protect data ownership and intellectual property rights exploitation.

A new practical guideline – Design Option Paper –  for digital data protection and management will be launched at the event. The new guidelines will help SMEs to better integrate software and data IP management systems into their business strategies and thereby boost digital innovation.

The event is organized by Jožef Stefan Institute (Slovenia), Fondazione Hub Innovazione Trentino (Italy), Innosquare Freiburg (Switzerland).

The GO-DIP project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon INNOSUP program.
